In class this week, we have been watching a film called "A More Perfect Union," which is about the Constitutional Convention held in Philadelphia in 1787. Students have been assigned a specific delegate at the convention to study, and will be required to write a letter as if they were that delegate. This letter will be addressed to the citizens of the delegate's home state in hopes of convincing them to ratify (or approve) of the new Constitution. This letter should be roughly 3 pages in length and will be worth 85 points, serving as the final assessment for this unit. The rough draft of the letter will be due in class on Friday, January 9, and the final copy will be due on Jan 13. You can find the specifics of the assignment here. Also, be sure to check out the websites and resources that I have included under the Government tab at the top of the page.

Complete the delegate profile sheet for the delegate you were assigned in class.
This website will help you immensely, especially the individual biographies of each delegate - http://teachingamericanhistory.org/convention/delegates/bigpicture/ We will be testing on Friday, December 5, over the Revolutionary War. It will be a 100 point test, and students will be allowed to use a 3x5 notecard (front and back) on the test. Please use the study guide to prepare.
