Our test on Colonial America will be on Tuesday, Oct. 23. Be sure to use the study guide to help you review for the test. Homework for Wed., Oct. 24th - write down three questions that you have about the Presidential election. These could be questions about the Political parties, candidates themselves, the election process, the office or duties of the presidency, etc. We will take time to answer these questions in the weeks leading up to the election.
Due on Tuesday, 10-17. Complete the map on colonial America that we began in class.
Due Friday, October 19th. Students are working in pairs on completing a 3D report, of sorts, on one of the original 13 American colonies. They should devise a container (box, jug, case, etc.) that will hold and display information and objects that relate to their' particular colony. For more information look on the "Colonial America" page of this website.
Read p. 90-94 and the first column of 95 (stop when you get to "French and Indian War"). Define the Key Terms from that reading and complete #1-3 on p. 97. Due Wed, Oct. 10.
Read p. 80 1/2 (start on the 2nd column on p. 80) -84 and complete questions #2-4. Due Friday, 10/5.
Due Thurs, 10-4. Read pages 85-87 and complete the Key Terms and questions #1-3 from that section.
Due Wed., 10/3 - Read pages 75-77 and complete #5 (chart) on p. 77. Hint: there should be 4 Colonies listed in your chart - Virginia (Jamestown), Maryland, The Carolinas, Georgia.
Complete the chart comparing the Jamestown and Plymouth colonies. This will be graded tomorrow, so please do your best work. Notice that I have already filled in a couple of boxes for you to give you an example of the kind of answers that I'm looking for. Use your book and your class notes to complete the chart. Due in class on Tuesday, 10/2/12.
