For 5 points of Extra Credit, go to the Industrial Revolution restaurant in Valpo (near the University on highway 30), and take a photo of yourself with some decoration/picture/dish from the restaurant that relates to the time period we have been talking about in class (1780-1860) and an invention/inventor from that time that improved life/work/business for Americans. Some examples might be the Steamboat/Robert Fulton, Peter Cooper/Locomotive, John Deere/steel plow, etc. Email me the photo at [email protected] or print the photo and give it to me in class. You could also post it to Instagram and use the hashtag #irmug
